Following his sweeping exploration of landscape in 2012 at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, published in the phenomenally successful David Hockney: A Bigger Picture, this new volume looks exclusively at a new series of portraits that David Hockney, one of the most famous artists in the world, has been painting recently. In 2012, Hockney returned to California, where he had lived and worked for long periods. There followed a series of painted portraits, the subjects of which ranged from studio assistants and office staff to family, friends, and long-term acquaintances. Also included are a number of fellow artists, curators, and gallerists, including John Baldessari and Larry Gagosian. Reproduced in stunning colorplates the paintings are shown alongside revealing images of the works in various stages of development, which provide an exciting insight into Hockney’s painterly process. The book is introduced with two important new texts. This vivid series of portraits, executed in bold acrylics, observant and full of life, marks Hockney’s vibrant return to Technicolor form.

It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
Jake and Jones accepts returns on eligible items from in-store purchases in the form of store credit within 10 days of purchase.
For online orders, Jake and Jones will accept your return if mailed within 10 days of the date it was received with all tags on and the items unworn for an exchange, store credit, or refund. All intimates, swimwear and apothecary are final sale and are not eligible for return.

If you would like to return an online order via mail, please visit your customer account or submit a return request by email to hello@jakeandjones.com within 10 days of receiving your order.
You will be notified of your return confirmation via email. If you would like to exchange for another size or style please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate whenever possible.
Customers are responsible for any return shipping costs.
Please note: Shoes may be pulled from boutique stock and, therefore, may have been tried on within the store. This might contribute to minor scuffs but should not be considered worn. Shoes being returned must be in their original box and original condition.
