our story

2017
founded jake and jones
We opened the doors to our first store, Jake and Jones Womenswear, on my nana's birthday, October 11th, 2017.
Jake and Jones, named after my sons, was born out of a desire to create, to be inspired, and to form a community. My boys were young and I was ready to re-enter the world of fashion, style, fun, and art that I had once known. This store, this concept, has become a child of it’s own, with a village of people working to continue its evolution, growth, and prosperity.

2020
launched our website
Covid hit, and like most small-businesses operating out of brick-and-mortar, our sales plunged. We were at a crossroads and decided to take the leap into the worldwide web as a last ditch effort to reach our customers.
What started as a garage start-up style operation has now grown into weekly photoshoots, an international presence, and features on publications like the NY TIMES!
Without the launch of our website, we wouldn't be where we are today. Special thanks to all of the people that supported us during the period of uncertainty.

2022
opened menswear
Our second store! After years of trying to figure out how to bring in menswear, but facing space constraints at our womenswear store, a location around the corner became available, and the rest is history. We love this little shop and the people that frequent it and make it successful. This corner has become home to many block parties and pop-ups.

2023
the eddy
Our third store! In 2023, the space nextdoor to menswear opened up, and I partnered with our brand director, Alex Suhadolnik, to open The Eddy, a corner store for all your wants and needs.
We love co-hosting block parties with The Eddy where we feature natural wine makers, food vendors, and artists.

2024
rejakeandjones
In 2024, we launched our re-commerce program, featuring curated, gently worn designer pieces.
The Jake & Jones re-commerce program is part of our commitment towards renewal.

picnic
A busy year! We also launched our first Substack, a place for our musings (or morsels, if you will). Picnic is a style newsletter with interviews featuring local style icons, outfit templates you can recreate with your own closet, and general obsessions from food to fashion.
