Marketing and Website Manager

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Marketing and Website Manager with a strong grasp of branding, marketing, and e-commerce across multiple platforms. If you’re excited about the fashion industry, driven by creativity, and skilled at engaging audiences, we’d love to hear from you!

This role balances creativity and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience with fashion marketing strategies, strong communication skills, and the ability to visually convey our brand identity across platforms. Key strengths include organization, planning, and reporting, alongside a sharp aesthetic sense. Proficiency in social media platforms, Shopify, Adobe, and a keen interest in style and design are essential.

This is a part-time hybrid position (approximately 25 hours per week) requiring both in-store and remote work, with potential for full-time in the future. We’re seeking someone who is highly motivated, self-starting, and a collaborative team player.

Roles & Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our brand identity and voice.
  • Plan, strategize, and execute social media campaigns across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube (Shorts), and emerging platforms.
  • Create high-quality content for social media, email marketing, website, and advertising campaigns.
  • Manage a content calendar to ensure consistent, timely, and engaging posts.
  • Research and integrate trending topics and audios into content strategies.

Graphic Design

Oversee all forward-facing materials to ensure it follows brand guidelines & vision. Design digital and print assets for all marketing and branding needs

Analytics & Optimization

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of social media performance, email marketing metrics, and advertising campaigns.
  • Use data insights to optimize content and inform future strategies.
  • Report on campaign performance and recommend improvements.
  • Report on online sales channel

Community Engagement & Collaboration

  • Foster community engagement through proactive and responsive communications.
  • Collaborate with external partners, brands, and designers carried in-store to create cohesive campaigns.
  • Work with team on events, marketing campaigns, and team communication

Campaign & SEO Management

  • Execute and manage large-scale marketing campaigns across multiple sales channels.
    • Oversee launch dates and coordinate marketing campaigns
  • Develop targeted social media campaigns to drive website traffic and conversions.
  • Strategize and implement segmented newsletters and flows.
  • Schedule and send weekly newsletters.
  • Work with the accounts manager to implement a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic search traffic.

Web & Inventory Management

  • Product uploads:
    • Image processing
    • Product description word-smithing 
    • Merchandising
    • Creating new collection pages as needed
    • Site-mapping / navigation updates for consumer ease
  • Website auditing: Remove redundant pages and fix 404s
  • Make sure all new or returned products are available online once photographed + double check returned items are restocked online.
  • Schedule all sales and maintain ownership of markdowns
  • Oversee inventory manager to ensure inventory discrepancies are addressed
  • Update homepage and all web pages as needed
  • Send out regular newsletters
  • Oversee any customer service issues as needed with inventory/customer service manager
  • Update and find ways to streamline processes and implement:
    • Shopify Flows
    • Automations
    • Google forms and spreadsheets
    • Apps and plugins 
  • Big picture strategizing with owner and manager

Photoshoots

  • Oversee weekly photo shoots. Quality control & art direction for product photos + lifestyle content. Provide post-shoot notes to the team regarding fit issues for anything we want to return to brand.
  • Update product listing with model fit info and general fit and feel
  • Work with inventory manager to prepare new products for weekly photoshoots, strategizing shot list.
  • Post live behind the scenes sneak peeks to Instagram

Budget

  • Manage ad budget
  • Track ROI 

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in social media and brand content strategy, with a focus on consumer-facing brands (fashion/retail preferred).
  • Expertise in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) and tools like Klaviyo, Shopify, and Adobe Suite.
  • Proven track record of growing and maintaining brands on social media.
  • Strong mix of creative and analytical thinking, with a focus on KPIs and data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media trends, cultural movements, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in fashion marketing and working knowledge of Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.

Sales Associate:

Jake and Jones is a mindfully curated Santa Barbara women’s boutique aiming to support emerging and contemporary designers.  We are hiring a part time Sales Associate (15-20/week).  We are looking for a friendly, mature, and trustworthy employee who enjoys working with a small team of dedicated employees.  This position reports to the Store Manager. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, answering the phone and responding to customer questions, engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service. 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with in-store customer
  • Operating the cash register, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the store
  • Increasing store sales
  • Superior product knowledge of our women’s, kid’s, and home brands
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor at all times
  • Assist in receiving, tagging, and steaming new merchandise
  • Assist in periodic inventory counts
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or high school diploma
  • Retail sales experience preferred
  • A professional appearance
  • Positive and team oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
