Jake and Jones has two locations in Santa Barbara, CA, and an International web presence. Jake and Jones curates emerging and designer womenswear and menswear, accessories and home items.  

Accounts Manager

This is an entry-level, data-heavy position with room for growth. It is a hybrid, on-site, and remote position.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build out purchase orders in Stocky using CSV
  • Build out product descriptions in Shopify using CSV
  • Review and price out competitive shipping rates for incoming packages
  • Finalize POs once invoice is received
  • Process and upload images to website
  • Manage sales channels by following brand guidelines and launch dates
  • Write competitive SEO titles and product descriptions for each product using basic HTML code 
  • Write on-tone product descriptions
  • Reach out to brands to include measurements, care instructions, and fabric content as needed
  • Ensure placement on brand stockist pages
  • Improve product images and descriptions based on customer feedback
  • Create new Collections as needed
  • Maintain website and backend Shopify to ensure accuracy and user ease
  • Maintain product availability across online platforms
  • Merchandise collections on the website
  • Update sale and discount items

Requirements:

  • This person is a self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve and streamline.
  • This position is for a person who is highly organized, has excellent attention to detail, and is a hard worker who can work quickly and efficiently.  
  • This person must have excellent writing skills.
  • Must have experience in Excel. 
  • This person must want to work in a small business environment and be a team player.

Sales Associate:

Jake and Jones is a mindfully curated Santa Barbara women’s boutique aiming to support emerging and contemporary designers.  We are hiring a part time Sales Associate (15-20/week).  We are looking for a friendly, mature, and trustworthy employee who enjoys working with a small team of dedicated employees.  This position reports to the Store Manager. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, answering the phone and responding to customer questions, engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service. 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with in-store customer
  • Operating the cash register, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the store
  • Increasing store sales
  • Superior product knowledge of our women’s, kid’s, and home brands
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor at all times
  • Assist in receiving, tagging, and steaming new merchandise
  • Assist in periodic inventory counts
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or high school diploma
  • Retail sales experience preferred
  • A professional appearance
  • Positive and team oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
