Menswear Store Manager

Full Time: Tuesday - Saturday

Jake and Jones is a small independent retail shop focused on thoughtfully curated menswear from emerging and independent designers. This person will lead the day-to-day operations of our menswear department. This role is ideal for someone who loves menswear, thrives in a boutique retail environment, and delivers exceptional, personalized customer service. You’ll be a key part of shaping the in-store experience and representing the designers we carry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding, knowledgeable, and personalized customer service

• Lead daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, floor management, scheduling employees, receiving inventory, shipping online orders.

• Style customers and build long-term client relationships

• Manage merchandising, product presentation, and overall look of the menswear floor

• Receive, process, and organize inventory

• Support buying decisions and provide feedback on customer trends and sell-through

• Train, mentor, and support sales staff as needed

• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and organized retail environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in retail (menswear or fashion retail strongly preferred)

• Strong passion for menswear, styling, and emerging designers

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to deliver high-level customer service

• Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable

• Comfortable working weekends and a full-time schedule

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a small-team environment
