Engineered Garments

Engineered Garments was founded by Daiki Suzuki in New York in 1999, after taking inspiration from his years buying for the Nepenthes stores in their early stages, and combining it with his own vision. The brand values unique garment construction with attention to detail and ventures into conflicting themes. The garments are not designed, but engineered.

We got our start in Santa Barbara, CA in 2017 as a boutique for womenswear & kids’, with a focus on approachable pieces from cult-favorite and emerging designers. In 2022, we expanded with a second location— menswear & objects. We’re more than just a store—we’re a community hub. From events and trunk shows to block parties, we love bringing people together. You’ll find designers like Kasmaria, Pleats Please, Simone Rocha, Lady White Co., Auralee, Sandy Liang, B Sides, and many more in the mix.
