New In This Week: Banjanan

About ten years ago, my mom and I traveled to India. I had studied yoga and I wanted to explore the country. We spent a few weeks in the North and visited Jaipur, a rich and luxurious city known for its gorgeous jewels and textiles. We visited one of these block print workshops and were fascinated by the colorful and beautiful artisanal process. It is no wonder that when I saw these beautiful, colorful printed dresses and blouses on my last market trip to LA I was drawn in. It is also no wonder that I am drawn to the designer, Caroline Weller, and this fantastic piece that was written about her in the NY Times.
